Sargood2009UpdateFor a number of years, Spinal Cord Injuries Australia (SCI Australia) has had a goal to create an innovative transitional accommodation and respite service at Collaroy: the Sargood Centre.  While much work has been completed in the development of the plans, approval of the Development Application with Warringah Council and development of the service delivery components within the service, delays have been experienced in fundraising to construct the centre.

Over recent months, discussions have been held with a range of stakeholders to examine ways in which the Sargood Centre could become a reality as soon as possible.  On 17 July an Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) of SCI Australia will be held, allowing members of the organisation to accept a proposal that has now been developed.  With approval from our members, we will progress the proposed partnerships and move forward with the development of the centre.

If you are a member of SCI Australia and are eligible to vote, you should have received an information package outlining the proposal to be presented at the EGM.  If you have not received this package, please contact either of the people listed below.

If you would like to know more about the services to be offered at the Sargood Centre please examine the information provided through the other pages on this site.

We realise the Sargood Centre is of immense interest to a vast range of community members and we will be updating the site regularly with information on the progress of the service.
