Employment

An ability to contribute to society through employment is an achievable goal for people with a spinal cord injury.  Previously this vital element of rehabilitation has been sidelined until a return home and entry into a system that is largely unsympathetic to a person with a spinal cord injury.  With support from the Federal Government, Spinal Cord Injuries Australia has been able to re-invent the system for people with a traumatic injury, allowing easier and more appropriate access into the employment assistance programs available.  Working with our Employment Consultants during their stay at Sargood will enable the development of an individual employment program that examines all possibilities and focuses on the skills required to achieve employment goals.
