Skill Development
Individual autonomy and self determination are a focus of all the services provided by Spinal Cord Injuries Australia. Our aim is to assist people to return home as the masters of their own destiny rather than the recipients of care. One element of support provided through the Sargood Centre will be to assist each person in the aspects of independence that are important to them and develop self management techniques. We will also be providing assistance to those who wish to play an active role in community development on their return home by developing advocacy skills.
